In the field of orthopedics, we have developed an innovative orthoprosthetic system focused on the design and manufacture of reinforcement and protection devices. Using advanced tools such as SolidWorks and Meshmixer, as well as 3D scanning and printing technologies, we have created a customized prosthesis intended to strengthen an open bone fracture. This prosthesis not only provides support but also mitigates direct impact on the affected areas, allowing for high-impact physical activities such as skiing and skating. This project is the result of a close collaboration with the Egibide Institute in Vitoria, Spain, where we have been able to combine technical knowledge and experience in the fields of rehabilitation and sports. Additive manufacturing has been key to ensuring a perfect fit and optimal functionality of the device.
